hello all,
my name is tasha houston, and i attended my first wow jam in charlotte this july and it was breath of fresh air. my family and i had a wonderful time. even though it rained. i would like to thank you for not letting the rain run you away. my husband has kindney failure and works third shift he was dead tired and soaked from head to toe, but wild horses could not have drove him away. listening to you all gave me that extra push to go on. i would also like to thank you for the bike my son and little cousin recieved, and the dishes. it is a wonderful thing what you all do. please let me know when you all are coming back to charlotte. my family and i would love to volunteer. A lady came to the career counseling tent needing help in a domestically violent situation. She needed a job and got an appointment with an agency for the following week.

The health and wellness tent workers were able to help 3 people discover they had diabetes and rescued one man whose life was in danger from a life-threatening high sugar count.
- Several young people were so touched by God’s love at the Thursday WOW JAM that they walked several miles to come help with the set up at Friday’s WOW JAM.
- A man by the name of James had just moved here two weeks earlier from NY. He started helping one of the ministry teams and then was blessed with job leads at the Career Counseling Tent.

Samaritan’s Feet joined us for the first time and distributed over 300 pairs of shoes to children to wear just in time for back to school.

On Thursday, a woman while sitting on her porch heard the Gospel message, came over to the altar call and asked for prayer for deliverance from a heroine addiction. She stayed clean for 3 days and came to the baptism service to get baptized.

At the altar time, a young teenage girl, overcome with shame and fearful God would never forgive her sins, got set free and embraced the revelation that she was a daughter of the King of Kings. She came to the baptism service and was baptized as God’s little princess.

A young boy got off his wheel chair and walked the length of the altar area.

A deaf mute uttered the name “Jesus”.

A young woman, who had attended a WOWJAM in years past, came saying she was desperate for a job, and knew this was the place she could find hope.

A lady who won $100 in the pie eating contest and was a recovering drug user and was found by a WOW worker sitting on a corner well after the WOWJAM was over. She was scared she would spend the money on drugs if she accepted a ride home with friends, so the WOW volunteers gave her a ride home and prayed with her. God’s convicting power in action.

Well after WOW was over, one of the volunteers ministered to a Hispanic couple that sat on their porch during the whole WOWJAM. They received the Lord.

One of our prayer volunteers was having a difficult day because the children were not being receptive to prayer. Two large men came through the crowd and she asked if she could pray with them and they both said “yes” and then they asked if they could pray for her. She said they were awesome men of God and blew the dark clouds off her day.

Many of the WOW volunteers shared that they were more blessed than a blessing.

Numerous people in the community shared with volunteers in the tents how blessed they were to hear that WOW was coming back…that WOW week is their Christmas was stated many times through-out the week.

A teenage boy, who received the Lord after a WOW High School program a year earlier, came to a WOWJAM bringing two friends and his pastor. He shared with Linda Tavani, “the message God gave your husband changed my life.”
